Thanks to our wonderful donors here on GlobalGiving, Creating Hope International (CHI) has been able to award scholarship to nearly 60 Afghan students! The students helped have ranged from university students in both the US and Afghanistan to students in preschool up to 8th grade attending private schools in Afghanistan. We have been so overwhelmed by the support shown to our projects supporting just one boy or girl’s dream to attend a school. Thank you!
The students at the private schools come from families who cannot afford to pay to send students to school. Some of the fathers of the students are unemployed and many were day laborers without a steady income. The students that you have supported are attending a very high quality private school. The teachers at the school are regularly monitored and have meetings with teacher trainers on how to improve their teaching techniques. In a move that is unusual for Afghanistan, the staff at the school routinely meets with the parents of students to involve them in everything going on at the school.
As the situation in Afghanistan continues to change, your support becomes more and more important. We thank you so much for seeing the importance of education, and welcome you to our community of supporters!
