In 2013-14 you helped us fund 80 scholarships for boys and girls to attend private schools in Herat and Kabul, Afghanistan for this school year. One of the recipients says, “My name is Farbia. I am 13 and have three younger sisters. My father is a laborer and my mother does washing and cleaning for our neighbors. I was not able to pay to go to school. I am so thankful for this scholarship. This opportunity has changed my life. After I graduate, I am going to help my family and my community.”
One of the young men that your donations supported recently graduated from a university in the US with his Bachelors in Communications! He is planning to get a Masters degree and then return to Afghanistan and work for his people. We wish him all the best!!
