Generous donations to this project have allowed us to provide scholarships to five female university students in Herat! Three of these students are studying midwifery at the Science Institute of Atafi in Herat, Afghanistan. Afghanistan is currently facing a severe lack of trained female midwives, and these three students will help to fill that gap by providing women with access to professionally trained, female healthcare workers. This scholarship provides the students with a stipend for books and transportation, and fees (where needed).
Look for another update soon with more information about the other young women who are able to continue their education because of your support!
