Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for your support of Creating Hope International’s efforts to give as many poor Afghan students an education as possible. So many exciting things are happening in the private schools that the scholarship students attend. Midterm exams were administered over a month ago, and finals will be taken during December.
The scholarship students attend four private schools, two in Herat Province and two in Kabul province. The first school in Herat province offers preschool through 10th grade and has 569 students who attend the school. The second school offers preschool through fifth grade to a total of 97 students. Both schools in Kabul province offer preschool through 12th grade, with one school serving 226 student and the other serving 409.
It’s been quite an exciting year for the larger school in Herat. First, the school was added to a list of the eight best private schools in the province. Then, much to the delight of the students and staff, the school’s soccer team won a regional soccer tournament! The students were overjoyed at the victory, shouting and dancing in the school's courtyard.
The goalie of this team is actually one of the scholarship students whose attendance at the school you made possible.
Finally, we were able to deliver two small scholarships to the students attending a university in the United States. The funds were very much appreciated, and arrived just in time to help the students purchase books.
Again, thank you for your support of our efforts to provide as many Afghan students with access to quality educational experiences as possible. Lives are being changed because of your generosity.
Thank you.
