The project is well dedicated to helping 500 students access food in secondary and primary schools available at Mombo Ward.The project will help to increase performance of students in schools and reducing truancy among students. The statistics shows that the rate of increase in the supply of food especially to day students increase their school attendance, performance increase and reduce street children
In Mombo Ward, in Korogwe District there is Shortage of food and water access to students in the schools due to cutting down of trees and human activities and drought occur around Mombo Ward, this has lead to decrease in food supply to primary and secondary schools leading to schools drop out and poor performance.
The project will provide sacks of rice, sacks of maize and will install 10 tanks of clean water to 6 primary and 5 secondary schools. Also the project aiming at establishing 40 vegetables gardens to provide nutritional to 500 students in schools.
The long time impacts of the project are; Establishing 10 clean water tanks for the schools to ensure clean water supply and suppress water borne diseases, Ensuring right to education to students especially girls Ensuring girls with reproductive health education programs to ensure sustainable prosperity to schools and improve schools performance.
