Flood Threat Grows for Families in Ibaji

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

We sincerely thank you for your support toward the Help Flood Victims in Ibaji and Lokoja, Kogi State project. Your contribution is truly appreciated and brings hope to families living in flood-prone communities. However, the donations received so far are not enough to start the project yet, and more support is urgently needed.

Communities in Ibaji and Lokoja continue to face yearly flooding that destroys homes, farms, schools, and sources of income. Many families are displaced and forced into overcrowded shelters or unsafe living conditions.

As the rainy season begins, the danger becomes even greater, especially for people in Ibaji where flooding regularly wipes out entire communities and farmlands.

This project is designed to provide emergency food, clean water, shelter, medical care, psychosocial support, and recovery assistance for affected families. It will also support long-term recovery through safer housing, farming assistance, and flood preparedness education.

With the right support, vulnerable families can survive the coming flood season and begin rebuilding their lives with greater safety and stability.

We remain grateful for the support received so far and hopeful that additional contributions will make it possible to begin this urgent intervention.

Thank you for your kindness and continued support.

Sincerely,

Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
Project Leader
