With schools now on holidays till 2nd of January 2019, the 3rd edition of Skillz football league targeting adolescent boys with an aim of promoting voluntary medical male circumcision got underway in 5 different community fields around Nairobi. This being a fertile season for VAP to promote VMMC, a total of 40 teams have registered in the league. Participants will also be subjected to go through ‘Make The Cut’ football based activities that are coated with VMMC messages. As a supplementary event and a build up to the forthcoming Kick ‘N’ Test VCT football tournament scheduled for 1st of December during world’s Aids day, players in the Skillz league will be earning OFF the field points to their respective teams by visiting nearby clinics for either surgical and non-surgical circumcision services.
Making A Different Through Sustainable Development
Players from different sectors including Not for Profit organizations drawn from different parts of the country including VAP gathered at the Price Waterhouse Coopers headquarters for a breakfast meeting tailor made for building the capacities of charity organizations with cutting edge, up-to-date information surrounding the charity industry. Amongst the topics covered under the theme of ‘Making a different through sustainable development’ were: digital solutions, Tax, regulatory and immigration compliance, governance and value for money
