New HIV Community Ambassadors
New HIV Community Ambassadors

Despite enjoying their precious school holiday time, Skillz Kenya HIV participants were kept busy and fully engaged into the program in their respective communities. Skillz coaches divided themselves into different groups reaching out to participants from every corner and community with HIV awareness messages. Throughout the school holiday season over 350 youth were awarded with certificates as a confirmation of becoming fully certified HIV ambassadors in their communities. The graduates are poised to conduct both formal and informal HIV sessions with their peers, families and members of the community."Now i have information about HIV/AIDS and i can confidently teach my friends too."Said 15 years old Banula.

A True Star,On and Off The Field

22 years old Mandela has been a true community football role model both on and off the football pitch. As a footballer who plays for Bidco football club that features in the nationwide football league, a second tier league, his character, leadership and captaincy skills have been exemplary of great inspiration to his fellow teammates and the community around. Mandela has been so passionate in Skillz Kenya program that creates awareness of HIV through football based manual, and as a Skillz coach he balances well his time of going for program implementation and for football practice with his team.
