A three days training of coaches’ workshop was conducted in the early month of February to welcome on board new coaches who have just joined in.The trainings were conducted by VAP’s newly introduced master coaches (experienced coaches) and had former coaches also in attendance to refresh and oil their bearings as they dive into their respective communities with HIV messages coated with football based activities. The trainings included both practical and theoretical sessions with teach back activities amongst the attendees to make sure that everybody reads on the same page while conducting quality program interventions.
Re-energizing Community Programs
Innovation and Quality programming are the trending words within the circles of VAP programs for the year 2018.With some added dynamism, and effective measures in place across all programs, the quality implementation and result based programs are key priority towards scaling up the capacity of the programs in the New Year. The collection of stories and data including pre and post surveys by the coaches from the program participants and conducting coaches’ debrief meetings would be a mandatory routine towards building quality programming. The newly recruited coaches will be backed up by experienced coaches and will receive periodic site visit support from the master coaches.
