We, at BSPES, are eternally grateful to all our donors for having believed in us. You have all opened your hearts and donated generously to our cause. Your generosity has helped us achieve our goal of a renovated kitchen. We cannot thank you all enough.
Through the Covid-19 pandemic, when India was under a lockdown, we used our funds to help those in need. We provided basic grocery items to our families in need as well as within our community. Masks were being stitched and given to everyone around us. We were able to help out within our community due to the generosity of our donors.
Our school moved to an online education system, and we encouraged our students to attend as much as they could. We did lose some of our students as their family circumstances changed during these times. However, we were very positive and moved forward all through this. Teachers used apps like WhatsApp, Youtube, etc to help students learn.
I would like to share the story of one of our students, who completed her 12th grade in 2017. With 4 additional siblings, she had limited means growing up and her education was sponsored by a long-term supporter from the US. In 2019, she joined a short-term healthcare course at Apollo Medskills New Delhi. This was sponsored by year another generous donor. Working hard, she is now working as an Account Executive at a hospital in New Delhi and has achieved our dream of becoming financially independent. She is able to financially support her family at this time.
Success stories like this are what make us do what we do. As many of these girls become financially independent, we pride ourselves on being able to give them this opportunity. And we would not be able to achieve any of this had it not been for your donations.
We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for helping us through this journey. As our project comes to an end, and we have achieved this goal, we strive for more of our students to become financially independent and spread their wings in this world. We hope you will continue to help us with that. In the coming months, we will start another campaign that will allow you to be directly involved with our students. You will be able to sponsor a student in different ways.
