Annual Exams - Primary class
With this report, I would like to share that we have managed to accumulate the necessary funds that were needed to build a new kitchen. This is thanks to all our donors, through GlobalGiving and elsewhere, The work was already underway and now we hope we are able to see it completed as soon as possible. We have collected $20,000 towards this project, and we are indebted to all of you for your generosity. We will be deactivating this project but will be honored if you continue your support for our school. We will put up our next project shortly wherein you can help the school by supporting part or all of a student’s annual expenses.
BSPES School Report - Dec through February
- The average attendance of students in Dec - 83.17%
- The average attendance of students in January - 58%
- The average attendance of students in February - 57%
- The lack of attendance in these 2 months was due to several weather-related unplanned holidays.
Beyond BSPES - Success Stories
- • 2 of our students who have graduated from BSPES and are at Nettur Technical Training Foundation Bangalore have taken their intermediate examination and are well underway into their first semester. They are both doing well.
- A great example of Giving Back - 3 of our alumni students who have all completed higher studies and are now employed, have all donated Rs5000 each for a student who is enrolled in a course at APOLLO. The student's father recently passed away and he was the sole bread earner of the family.
- This is in conjunction with our vision and mission of creating a generation that is empathetic towards their society and ready to help their sisters in need through different means.
- Another alumni of BSP, won the first runner-up prize in Chess (girls) at S.V. College Aligarh .
- Another graduate from BSPES, now completing her Masters of Science in Yoga, has always demonstrated the philosophy of BSPES by her achievements. She is a unique example of a focussed and dedicated student.
- One of our primary teachers at BSPES was also a student at BSPES. Having completed her Masters in English from IGNOU she has been teaching in our primary section since 2016. Interested in a career in education she applied for the PGDLT program (Post Graduation Diploma in Learning and Teaching) at the I AM A TEACHER organization (www.iamteacher.org). She has received a scholarship that will cover 90% of the Rs 3.5lakhs tuition fee. Our BSPES family heartily congratulates her and wishes her good luck in her future endeavors.
Primary Section
- Students celebrated Christmas Day
- TOS - (The Other Side) Intercultural Theatre is a US-based organization whose mission is to create a cross-cultural exchange of dramatic storytelling amongst girls, supporting their common experience, inspiring leadership, and developing community. This was implemented at BSP by Executive Director, Melanie Closs. Teachers were trained and a drama class was facilitated. The application SLACK has also been initiated so that the girls can not only communicate directly with their sisters in New York but can also learn a growing tech platform in the global corporate sector. By sharing their stories using drama and technology, the girls grow their empathy, confidence, and communication skills.
- Annual examinations were conducted for upto 7th grade
Junior/Senior Section
- Drawing classes for all of 9th-grade were held.

- The UP Board requires a practical examination to be held for games and PE. This was accomplished for grades 8th, 9th, and 11th as per their guidelines.
- 12th grade prepared for their HomeScience practical exams. They painted table-cloths. They attended the HomeScience board exam practical at Rashtriya Girls Inter College Khair, Aligarh. Among 10 other schools, our students performed the best.
- 11th graders conducted their HomeScience practical in the school itself.
- In spite of weather-related disturbances in the month of December, we continued with our Economics class for grades 11th and 12th, as well as other audio/video classes for 12th grade to clear doubts.
