Dear Supporters,
When we first started our partnership it was with one school with 100 children and with so much support we have grown and grown and every meal with give to a child is often the only food they get. It's such an important but also amazing project as not only are we making sure children are not hungry by giving them the food we are able to help them fight sickness, develop their mental and physical growth and provide them with the capacity to learn at school.
It sounds like a simple meal you have donated but actually it is the power to change the future for so many children. Anyway what have we been up to over the past 3 months?
Well rather a lot as we are now feeding 500 children on $1 which is just AMAZING and while we are so thankful it is hard as we have 9,000 more children across our rural community we know are hungry and lucky to get one meal a week, it's so heart breaking and as a team we are going to start doing some fundraisers and work with others to look at longer term sustainability on how we can get better resources.
One option is to help local farmers fight their 80% crop failure and we have a team currently working on grant proposals to government and others to help us implement organic worm fertizers, really exciting stuff and innovative approach lead by our local farmers here in Zimbabwe!
While we have some exciting stuff going on we are still very aware of the 9,000 children hungry today and so we will do everything we can to feed more with the donations we get!
Thank you for reading and we wish you a lovely day from us all in Zimbabwe!
