Safer environment for the children
A flood may be viewed less from a Super Typhoon, but it can be as destructive as the latter.
The unexpected rise of water due to the torrential rains last August 18, 2013, had destroyed properties and had caused families in Cavite to be displaced from their homes.Immediate relief efforts were conducted by the Children's Joy Foundation, Inc. to aid the immediate needs of those affected. Among those are the beneficiaries of the Children’s Joy Foundation, Inc. where the floodwaters had caused damages to the CJFI shelter.
The disaster had made the management secure a safer place for the children to stay and acquire new furnitures and equipments for the children’s use. Just recently, the children as well as the CJFI staff had moved in to a better and safer house that’ll not anymore be threatened of any flooding incidence. The Children are really thankful for the new computers, furnitures, beds, clothes and especially for a safer home just in time for the holidays. They refer it as an advance Christmas gift from kind hearted individuals who had help them recover from the incident.
