This project helps family-type children's homes-Ukrainian families who take in and raise children from orphanages. These families usually care for up to 10 children and often face financial and household challenges, especially during wartime. The project provides targeted support to ensure decent living conditions, access to education, and quick response to emergency needs. This helps create a safe, stable, and supportive environment where children can grow and develop.
About 1,300 family-type children's homes in Ukraine are raising children who have lost parental care. Since the start of the full-scale war, many of these families lost their homes and had to rebuild their lives from scratch. Even families in safer areas are struggling with rising prices for food, clothing, and basic services, as well as blackouts and safety concerns. Without support, they risk not being able to provide the stability and care these children need to heal and grow.
This project provides direct help to family-type children's homes. It improves living conditions by supplying household essentials, supports children's education with school supplies and learning resources, and addresses urgent needs like medical care or electricity during blackouts. By helping these families, we ensure that children grow up in a safe, loving environment where their well-being is prioritized. It allows them to feel secure, build family bonds, and look to the future with hope.
Family-type children's homes play a vital role in giving children from difficult backgrounds a second chance. Supporting these families now helps raise a new generation that knows love, stability, and family values. This investment builds stronger, healthier communities and a more resilient Ukraine in the future. By ensuring these children grow up cared for and educated, we are helping shape the country's future leaders, caregivers, and citizens.
