As of February 2009, there were 200 Bon children from Northern Nepal attending the school for Tibetan Bon in the Bon settlement in Dolanji, India. 33 are girls and 67 are boys. All of the children are Bon from rural Nepal where there are no schools. All of the children come from very poor families. Some of the children are orphans. The students are able to study to the 10th class at the school and then have a chance to go to higher education institutions.
