10 pupils have been supported with school uniforms, shoes and required text books. It has also emerged that the beneficiaries are improving in their academic work, as they now feel more confident and at par with other pupils as they can now dress smartly to school. 20 households have benefited from energy saving jikos, and this is one way of reducing forest degradation and ensuring they have more time for other activities especially increasing food production to ensure enough for home consumption and sale of surplus to supplement their income.
Words from Elizabeth Cheptoo, one of the beneficiaries.
“I am very happy for the new uniform now I feel very confident and same as other pupils, in fact I was position one during the midterm examination and I believe the support I got has contributed to this.Thank you very much for your support”
