Help Educate 330 Mukinyai School Orphans, Kenya

By Lucy Mathenge | Project Assistant

Our beneficiaries in the project are fine and safe.  They have all reported back to school after the April holiday.  We are happy to report that all our beneficiaries have reported back to school and we have paid their school fees for this school term.  We wish them success and safety throughout the term.  They visited our office during the holiday and they presented their performance report forms and we appreciate their dedication and hard work.  The performance were fair and we encouraged them to work even harder for more pleasing results.  During their visit to our office, they shared different challenges they go through and some of them contribute to their performance.  We had a session with them mainly providing guiding and counseling and encouragement to ensure they remain positive and focus more on their education.  We addressed some of the challenges that we could like providing sanitary towels to the girls who said it has been hectic to get them from their parents/guardians and this was a headache to them.  We will be providing sanitary towels to them to ensure they have them whenever they need them.  Parents and guardians are faced with more challenges which they address treating provision of sanitary towels to their girls as non-essential or basic need.   We fully understand their situation and especially during this pandemic where their source of income are very much affected.  In our capacity we will be supporting our beneficiaries with some of basic needs apart from paying their school fees.  Thank you for continued support and as we continue supporting our beneficiaries, we count your contributions as well.
