Help Educate 330 Mukinyai School Orphans, Kenya

Our secondary students beneficiaries reported back to school in January 2018 and they will be breaking for their April holiday soon.  We had two students transfer from their former school to new schools where they felt that the learning environment was more conducive than where they were.  The 2 girls previously in Koige secondary school felt that the environment was not good for them and there was less competition.  The 2 girls are Lucy and Joan,  we are happy that Lucy got a vacant in a boarding school where she have ample time to do her studies and prepare her to become a journalist as she wants to be.  Through global giving support we were able to cater for Lucy boarding fees, school uniforms, bedding and personal effects for the whole term as her single mother could not afford to take her to a boarding school.  Lucy was very grateful and she promised to work extra hard to achieve her dreams.  During half term break, she expressed her satisfactory in the new school and she appreciated the quality education being offered and the high competition and more so enough time to do her studies.  We hope to do more fundraising to accommodate more needy students in our program to ensure they get quality education.  Many parents and students have approached us requesting for the support but unfortunately we have not been able to support them due inadequate resources.  We welcome all to consider supporting our needy students to access quality education either in boarding or day schools.  We sincerely appreciate the support given through global giving and we hope to increase the number of beneficiaries.  Thank you very much.
