NATIVIDAD BUNGO, a 70 year old poor widow was almost blind when our visiting Ophthalmologist, Dr. Joseph Custodio, examined her during our community screerning. Urgent surgery was required to restore her sight. The surgery was carried out in Bislig District Hospital; the left eye first and few months later, the right eye.
After the second surgery Natividad Bungo said: "I can see again, much better now! Unbeleivable! I don't feel isolated anymore in the dark and no longer a burden to my family. I am very grateful to Loving Presence Foundation, the doctors and all those who helped me and gave me a new life".
17 indigent clients with Cataract were operated on during the Foundation's most recent medical activity. Natividad Bungo is one of them.
