The client is known to be a good boy both in the family and in school. His family loves him so much because since he was young, he is obedient, helpful and responsible. He didn’t seem to be bothered with his appearance until he reaches First Year High School. As his social interaction with other children increases, he feels dissatisfaction with his peer relationships. He was so sad and the parents felt sorry for him. His self concept was little by little adversely affected. He feels unwanted and there is that fear he might not be liked or win friends due to his visible deformity. Though they want to have him operated, due to financial constraints, it was just a dream they hope will come true.

Through the facilitation of Loving Presence Foundation Inc., his mother heard about the Surgical Mission in Davao City on February 2008. She was so excited to know such good news for his son. She went to the Foundation and in just a short period of time completed all the requirements for the assistance. On February 5, 2008, he had undergone a successful lip operation at Davao Doctors Hospital, Davao City.

The mother joyously extends their gratefulness for the successful operation of Lord Jason in which a big difference in the appearance is so visible. He now looks so good and feels a lot confident to face and deal with his peers. Not just his family was thankful for the effort of the Foundation but even so his school, High School Department, St. Theresa College, Tandag City.

On March 11, 2008, the undersigned had a short visit with Lord Jason in school. He was in the classroom together with his teacher and classmates. He was happy doing the group work and busy with the activity. According to the teacher, the school was deeply moved with the case of Lord Jason and it’s their heartfelt joy to see him look good after the operation. The teachers were so happy that their student feels a lot confident and shows good feeling with the way he appears now. According to him, before he was so sad oftentimes because he looks so different from his friends and classmates but after the Foundation helped him undergo an operation, he has improved his self esteem. He is no longer ashamed to join his friends in playing basketball and other ball games he had wished to play before. Indeed, his psychosocial functioning has improved after the surgery. For him, the help of the Foundation is God’s answer to his earnest prayer.
