The team and children of Bal Asha Trust received Ms. Kavita Mathew from GlobalGiving on Saturday, 16th January 2016 at our destitute children's home in Mumbai.

We were very happy to receive Ms. Mathew as this was a first visit from the GlobalGiving team to our organization. This visit from GlobalGiving team member gave us an opportunity to introduce every detail of our work for children.

We shared that how children come to our home.  We also shared our routine on day to day basis which helps us give quality care to children care, food, clothing, educational and medical etc.

We were very pleased to know that Ms. Mathew had noted our earlier project reports especially of children who had received whose surgeries were performed.  We introduced her Mary (Report dated 04.03.2015) and Shreya (Report dated 15.09.2015). Ms. Mathew was very happy in spending time with the children and enjoyed the interactions.  We were very happy to introduce her to our staff members who have dedicated themselves to the work for children.

Ms. Mathew also guided our team through various tools available at Global Giving platform for charitable organizations to enhance their skills to benefit the project.    This was very helpful for our team members.

The day ended with our request to Ms. Kavita Mathew to mention her thoughts in our guest book. She wrote

“Dear Team Bal Asha

I leave this place completely inspired and honoured to know that GlobalGiving has been able to support your work.  The work you are doing is definitely not easy, but your belief in the children and more importantly in the existence of goodness in this world will continue to pay you!  Thank you for your hospitality today wishing you the best year! Sending across lots of positivity your way!”
