Dear Friend,

I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones safe.  The world is facing a pandemic and none of us have ever faced this situation.

We are currently under lockdown, in order to stop the spread of the COVID 19 virus.  Bal Asha and all its employees have also been severely affected by difficulties faced by everyone around us.  Simple things like buying vegetables, groceries, milk or getting medicines have come difficult.

Our topmost priority is keeping our children in Bal Asha safe.  We have 36 children today. We have formed a team of 20 caretakers and paramedicals who now stay 24 X 7 at the premises to take care of the children and to ensure that they feel safe and comforted in these tough times.

In order to keep the children busy, we organised several activities, so that our kids feel safer.  We have started online activities with our psychologist and the children's school. Children who were supposed to reach their Adoptive Homes and could not due to lockdown are regularly encouraged to talk to their Adoptive Parents through video calls.

We have stocked ourselves with reasonable rations to ensure that we have enough food to feed all the children and staff members living within the premises. Donors are in touch and helping us out whenever we are low on stock.

Our social workers who are at home are calling our beneficiaries in the community to create awareness on COVID 19 and making them feel secure in these difficult times.

We are gearing up to take steps to aid children and families affected by the COVID crisis.   We will need your support to help us take care of children and families both in Bal Asha home and within our community.  We can together ensure that this generation wins this battle.

I urge you to make a donation today.

Thanks and Regards,

Sunil Arora

Executive Director
