We Made It With Your Help

By Anthony Richard Hulula | Director/Project Leader

1. INTRODUCTION & GRATITUDE

We made it with your help.

With deep humility and overwhelming gratitude, the Centre of Love is honored to present this project report to you—our valued donors and friends. Words may not fully express how deeply thankful we are, nor can they adequately capture the excitement, joy, and renewed hope within the community, especially among the youth who will soon enroll and begin using this vocational facility.

You trusted us with your funds, believed in our vision, and journeyed with us through the final and most critical phase of this project. What we once presented to you as a proposal is now a complete vocational building, standing strong and ready to serve the community of Kibera.

Through your generous contribution of USD 7,101, and with additional support mobilized from other sources, we successfully raised the full amount required to complete this project. This achievement is a true testimony of partnership, trust, and shared purpose.

On behalf of the community, the Centre of Love Board, staff, and all current and future beneficiaries, we say thank you.

2. PROJECT BACKGROUND & NEED

Kibera is home to thousands of young people with immense potential but limited access to skills training and employment opportunities. Many youth face barriers such as poverty, unemployment, and a lack of affordable vocational facilities that can equip them with practical, marketready skills.

The Centre of Love envisioned a dedicated vocational building to serve as a safe, accessible, and wellequipped space where youth can gain handson skills in Electrical and Plumbing trades—skills that are critically essential for selfreliance, income generation, and entry into the job market.

This project was designed not only to construct a building but to restore dignity, build confidence, and unlock opportunity.

3. PROJECT OBJECTIVES

The key objectives of the project were to:

  • Construct a functional vocational training building in Kibera.
  • Provide a safe and conducive learning environment for youth.
  • Support skills development in Electrical and Plumbing courses.
  • Enhance employability and selfemployment opportunities for young people.
  • Strengthen community ownership and participation in youth development.

4. DONOR SUPPORT & FINANCIAL OVERVIEW

  • Total donor contribution entrusted to Centre of Love: USD 7,101
  • Additional funds mobilized from other sources: Supplemented to meet the total project cost
  • Project status: Fully funded and completed

Your trust in our stewardship made it possible to move from vision to reality. You chose this project among many worthy causes, stood with us through the final phase, and enabled its successful completion.

5. PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION & COMPLETION

With the funds received, the Centre of Love successfully:

  • Completed construction of the vocational training building.
  • Ensured the structure is safe, durable, and suitable for training activities.
  • Prepared the facility for immediate use by vocational trainees.

Today, the building stands complete—a visible symbol of hope, partnership, and possibility—ready to welcome youth eager to learn, grow, and transform their futures.

6. IMPACT & BENEFICIARIES

Primary Beneficiaries

  • Youth enrolling in Electrical and Plumbing vocational courses.

Community Impact

  • Increased access to practical, marketdriven skills.
  • Enhanced employability and entrepreneurship opportunities.
  • Reduced vulnerability among youth through skillsbased empowerment.
  • Strengthened community pride and ownership of development initiatives.

The excitement among the youth and the wider community is tangible. This facility represents opportunity, direction, and a pathway to dignity and sustainable livelihoods.

7. ACCOUNTABILITY & STEWARDSHIP

The Centre of Love remains committed to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of donor resources. Your funds were used strictly for the intended purpose—bringing this vocational building to completion for the benefit of the community.

8. CONCLUSION & APPRECIATION

Friends like you truly make the world a better place—and you have just done that.

You believed in this vision. You trusted us with your funds. You stood with us through the final stretch. Because of you, young people in Kibera now have a place to learn, build skills, and prepare for a meaningful entry into the job market.

We made it through with your support and generous donations.

From the Centre of Love Board, we would like to extend our gratitude to staff, community members, and all beneficiaries—present and future—for journeying with us. We do not take your support for granted, and we look forward to the continued impact that this facility will create for many years to come.

Together, we didn’t just construct a building—we built hope, opportunity, and a future.
