In Cameroon many children in rural communities remain out of school due to poverty, displacement, early marriage, child labor, and lack of awareness. Education for All seeks to identify and reintegrate these children into formal or non-formal education.
In Cameroon, children face significant barriers to education-including poverty, internal displacement, child marriage, and limited access to menstrual health products. Many families fail to educate children which limits their potential and undermines entire communities.
Education for All identify the most vulnerable children and enroll them in schools or vocational training institutes for free. Education for All provide school fees, sanitory kits, and healthcare to these children. The children's mothers are supported to start petty businesses and to form self help groups. From the first day that the child joins the program, we are very much involved in the child's welfare, health, and education.
This project will identify 300 vulnerable out-of-school children and enrol them in schools and vocational training centers and support the children's mothers with livelihood activities relieving them from the burden of school fees allowing them to focus on uplifting themselves out of poverty, which have plagued these families.
