Help Children Grow Crops For Sustainability

Dear Donors, Friends, and Supporters,Warm greetings from Wilma Fox Child Development Centre Uganda.

We would like to sincerely thank all our donors and supporters for standing with us and contributing toward the project “Help Children Grow Crops For Sustainability.” Your generosity and prayers continue to inspire hope and progress for the children and community we serve.

Our vision is to establish a self-sustainable source of livelihood through coffee growing so that the orphanage can gradually move from dependence to independence. We are grateful to share that we have so far received USD 210 toward this important project.

We have already planted coffee on part of our land, and we still have many more acres available for future planting. This project has the potential to provide long-term sustainability, food security, and income to support the children at the orphanage.

However, we are now approaching a long dry season during the months of June, July, August, and part of September. This creates a serious risk for the survival of the young coffee plants already in the ground. To protect the crops from the long dry spell, we urgently need a solar irrigation system, estimated to cost between USD 800 and USD 1,200.

Your continued support and prayers mean so much to us as we work toward building a sustainable future for the children. Every contribution helps move us closer to becoming self-reliant and able to care for the children with dignity and stability.
