We found a family with 12 children living in a house made of old billboards. This project is to build a proper shelter for them to stay safe from rain and heat, providing a secure home for the family.
This family has 12 children, some of whom are still toddlers. Their parents work as laborers with an uncertain income. They once had a small house, but it was destroyed during an earthquake. To this day, they have been unable to rebuild a proper home. Currently, they live on the site of their collapsed house, using old billboards as makeshift walls, which is, of course, uncomfortable and unsuitable for living.
Through this project, we invite you to help rebuild a proper home for this family. The rainy season has begun, and rainwater seeps into their house, while the cold seeps through because the walls made of old billboards offer no protection against the cold and rain. Similarly, when the heat strikes, the billboard walls fail to shield them from the scorching weather. The cramped space also prevents the children from sleeping and resting properly.
A comfortable home will give them the opportunity to rest properly, grow well, and provide protection from heat, cold, wind, and potential threats from wild animals that might enter the house.
