Thank you for your incredible support. Funds raised through GlobalGiving support our General Water Fund, so we can use your gift where it's most needed. While we may not be assigning your donation to a specific project, rest assured 100% of what we receive will fund water projects in the areas of greatest need.
One of the countries your gift could go to is Malawi. There are certain parts about rural life in Malawi that can make a person wish they lived there forever. The warm sunshine. Wake up calls from hungry goats. Basket weaving in the afternoon. The singing and dancing.
But there are also tedious tasks that come along with simply trying to survive — like carrying buckets of water from miles away to provide for your family. Watching loved ones suffer without proper medical care. Seeing your daughter or sister start carrying water at the age of eight, when her dream had always been to go to school.
Since 2009, charity: water has invested $16,541,834 with local partners in Malawi, funding 2,566 water points that will serve 759,971 people.
Thanks to supporters like you, we can bring clean water into these communities and significantly lighten the load so they can focus on more important things: like each other.
