Three-year-old Saadat's life is hanging on a thread. She comes from Kyrgyzstan, a country in Central Asia. Just a few months ago, the life of her family was completely different, full of peace and hope. In April 2024 it turned upside down. It was then that the tiny little girl was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, high-risk, stage 4.
For a month and a half, Saadat's parents went from doctor to doctor, trying to understand why their daughter remained ill. After many misdiagnoses, a tumor in her abdomen was accidentally discovered. Within a week, her parents took her to the local oncology center, where the worst fears were confirmed: it was neuroblastoma, a malignant pediatric tumor with metastases to the bones and bone marrow.
The doctors in Kyrgyzstan did not give the family much hope, saying that the chances of survival in the country are only 18%. For a week the family lived in despair - then they emptied their savings, sold everything they had and went to Turkey to fight for their daughter’s life.
In Turkey, Saadat completed three cycles of chemotherapy by now, but she still suffers from unbearable pains. The Turkish doctors estimated Saadat's survival as only 40%. Saadat's parents then started looking for hope elsewhere and they found it at a Children's Clinic in Barcelona, where the chances of recovery are over 60%.
Saadat's parents are now raising funds for treatment in Spain and will be very grateful for support. Neuroblastoma is a very dangerous type of cancer that requires long-term treatment and costly medications. Traveling and lodging expenses are an additonal financial burden for Saadat's family. Thanks to your donations, we are looking forward to supporting Saadat and other kids suffering from cancer.
We hope you will continue to support our project! Please consider signing up for monthly donations to ensure our project is able to support kids with cancer throughout the year!
