Natalia
Natalia is a young woman, loving mom to her 6-year old son, and a caring sister and daughter. In fall of 2015 she started feeling unwell and losing weight. Then she began having abdominal pains, lost appetite and developed fatigue. By early December, a large tumor of right adrenal gland was discovered. Natalia was urgently operated just two days before her 30th birthday. She is now stable, but needs long-term therapy with Lysodren, a medication that is not made in Russia and has to be imported from abroad. The cost of Lysodren is beyond Natalia's family's reach, and she needs our support to ensure that adrenal cancer does not return.
Since starting this project, we have helped Natalia and other patients needing Lysodren with bringing the medication into Russia. We were able to find this medication at a lower price and use our funds in the most effective way. We are hoping that we can count on your support to continue providing cancer patients with vitally needed medications!
Thank you so much for your kindness!

Help Nina stay in remission!

Nina
In our first project report, we told a story of Ruslana, a young woman with adrenocortical carcinoma who needed a medication from Canada to continue her treatment. Another patient who has to take the same medication, Lysodren, is Nina from St. Petersburg. Like Ruslana, Nina was diagnosed with adrenal tumor and underwent surgery and chemotherapy. She is currently in remission, but has to take the medication to ensure that cancer does not return.
Nina is single. She was born in St. Petersburg and lived there her whole life. After graduating from college, she worked at the same company for 38 years. She is now retired and lives on fixed income that does not cover even a quarter of the cost of the medicine. As it is not registered in Russia, the cost of Lysodren is not covered by the insurance. Nina has to rely on charitable support to continue her fight with cancer.
Thanks to donations from our supporters, we were able to buy Lysodren for Nina to last her one month. Thank you so much for your support for Nina and patients like her!

Help Ruslana Receive Vitally-Needed Medicine!

Ruslana
Ruslana is a young woman from a remote village in Siberia. In August of last year, she and her hudband Yuli welcomed their first child. The childbirth was difficult and ended up in emergency c-section. It took Ruslana a month to get better, but by December she began feeling unwell again and having sharp pains in her right side. Local doctors prescribed only vitamins, and the pain subsided somewhat. But in February Ruslana was taken to a hospital with dramatically increased blood pressure. The evaluation at the hospital discovered a very large tumor in Ruslana's right abdomen. She had a surgery at the regional oncology hospital, but by then the tumor was already inoperable.
At this time, medication that is unavailable in Russia is Ruslana's best option. Local government denied Ruslana's request to procure and purchase it, and she had to seek charitable help with paying for it and ordering from abroad. Thanks to your donations, we were able to buy the first 100 tablets for Ruslana from a pharmacy in Canada.
Thank you so much for your support for patients like Ruslana who struggle with finding best medications at affordable prices. If you believe in our cause, please forward our report to your friends who may be interested in joining our efforts.
