Covid-19 Emergency in Italy. We need you!

Over the past two years, IBO Italy has been committed to respond to the new needs arising from the pandemic. In the first lockdown contacted hospitals and social realities in need of support in the area of Emilia-Romagna and subsequently offered free of charge through the babysitting service a doctors and nurses working in Covid wards. As the pandemic unfolds, we have extended the national territory the model tested at the level regional with the aim of making life easier of non self-sufficient people, especially people in quarantine, the elderly, the disabled or sick with other pathologies, forced to stay near theirs homes to avoid contagion.

There were many people in difficulty in shopping, buying medicines, go to the hospital or activate SPID or electronic file. Thanks to time and commitment of the 73 collaborators of the "Time To Care" project presented with the FOCSIV network and funded by Department for Family Policies and Department for Youth Policy and Service
Universal Civil, with the National Forum of the Third Sector, we have activated in 15 Italian cities Sportamiacasa.it, a portal of proximity, created for not make people feel alone, alone, in isolation or sick. We mapped the home services that they responded to basic needs and supported the institutions
who offered them by recruiting volunteers.

From October 2021 to May 2022, the collaborators, have contributed to: nationally extend the Sportamiacasa.it portal; recruiting volunteers for others Third Sector Entities, through an online form, present on Sportamiacasa.it for organizations adhering to the our network and other networks that offer services a domicile throughout the national territory; to promote the Sportamiacasa.it portal on websites and social networks of our network and other networks and at CSVs territorial; involve young people in services a domicile, organized by our association and by
associations of our network and other networks; involve volunteers in the initiative "A package for Solidarity ”, in which, in the period from November to December 2020, will take care of the research of the points of sale and
of gift wrapping within points sale to raise funds.

Two digital tools to help:

Sportamiacasa.it is a portal that offers the possibility of register with associations offering services a domicile and non self-sufficient people or ai caregiver to see the available services on the map.
IBOMIaiuta is an app created by MIAiuta Srl; offers the possibility to non self-sufficient people, or who for them, to request a home service and to get them to meet the volunteers they bring to provision to offer the services. All at no cost.

THE RESULTS

• 500 Third Sector Entities involved (Municipalities, Territorial Poles, Youth Information, Volunteer Service Centers)
• 24 Youth Groups Involved (scout groups, parish groups, schools)
• 152 Activated Volunteers
• 7,535 Direct Beneficiaries
