Airlink is deploying nonprofit partners, including search and rescue teams, to supplement local response efforts in Colombia, following the devastating 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck on Monday, August 10, 2026. The strongest earthquake to hit the country in decades shook multiple cities in Colombia's western region. Airlink is closely communicating with Colombia based partners to understand the greatest areas of need to help families and lives disrupted by the disaster.
The strongest earthquake to hit the country in decades shook multiple cities in Colombia's western region, destroying blocks, homes, schools, and health centers. Colombia has declared a state of emergency, as rescue workers rush to clear rubble and deliver urgently needed relief to the thousands affected.
Airlink is working to provide free or low-cost airlift to regional partners, including search and rescue workers, to operate alongside local first responders and authorities in the areas hardest hit by building collapses: Pereira, Cali, Manizales, and rural communities near San Jose del Palmar in Choco.
Airlink's aviation and logistics solutions enable emergency response teams to land on the ground faster, immediately following a disaster, and helps them expand their operations by reducing rising transportation costs. In 2025 alone, Airlink transported 1,700+ responders and saved nonprofits $14 million in supply chain costs. Airlink is helping NGOs reach Colombia's hardest-hit communities faster and with greater efficiency, saving lives and setting the stage for long-term recovery.
