Meet Julietha Namala
Over a year ago, one of Gayle’s former colleagues, Teacher Laudia, brought a worthy student to our attention. Julietha Namala was – at that time – in standard three and receiving mostly ‘A’s as one of the top students in her class at Kibeta English Medium Primary School (KEMPS). Julietha’s father had died in 2018 and her mother had disappeared shortly thereafter. The mother has not been seen since. A guardian Auntie attempted to care for Julietha by sending her to KEMPS, but failed to provide for school fees after she faced family problems of her own.
Because of Julietha’s great academic performance and good character, Teacher Laudia advocated for her scholarship help from GLK. In 2023, she passed the standard four national exams with excellent marks. Julietha was accepted as a scholarship candidate. We look forward to watching her grow, learn, and succeed.
Thank you for your support of our students.
