HELP A RURAL YOUTH TO BE SKILLED

By Anuj Singh | Chief Operating Officer-SAMPARC

SAMPARC started Vocational Training Centre in Varnasi, Uttar Pradesh in September 2015. SAMPARC is providing Vocational Training in Fashion Design, Computers & Beautician Course. Also SAMPARC is providing Community Education Support Program for poor underprivileged children.

In the context of spread of COVID-19 and the advisories issued by National & State Government, SAMPARC is taking all necessary precautions and measures to ensure safety of all our program staff and beneficiaries. We have stopped conducting classes since March 18th 2020 for the safety of our project staff & children.

Community Education Support Program - 48 children from Jr.Kg to 9th std are receiving education support under Community Education Support Program. Tutor conducts classes for children after attending school. The Beneficiaries under this program are from very poor situation. Their parents work as daily wage labor or rickshaw-puller or domestic helpers or land-less farmers who work in others farms. Because of poverty, education of the children is badly neglected. To help the children SAMPARC provides tutorial support. Children attend Government run schools and SAMPARC tutor teaches the children all subjects in the class.

Fashion Designing course-21 students are enrolled in Fashion Design course. The duration of the course is 3 months.

Computer Course- 18 Students are enrolled in Computer course. The duration of the course is 3 months.

Beautician Course-10 students are enrolled in the newly started Beautician course. The duration of the course will be 6 months.

On 17th March 2020, SAMPARC organized Awareness program on COVID -19 to rural poor people. The awareness program was conducted by Dr.Himanshu Singh, Family Physician & Dr. S.K. Singh, MD.
