The intervention model of Crecemos DIJO focuses work with the family. For this reason, mothers are an essential resource because in our culture it is to them that the responsibility for the education and care of children is conferred.
We have learned that accompanying mothers to rediscover their great educational value is the first step we must take, for which we must restore their self-confidence, a security that will be manifested in more emotional relationships and stronger bonds with their children. .
In the month of February the computer course for mothers of families was opened, an activity that has been a success because of the interest and perseverance that the students have shown. The course was opened with the objective that mothers can acquire greater tools and skills to strengthen their educational role at home. A computer class has been able to change their lives as they themselves testify:
"The course changed my life. I did not know anything, nor how to turn on a computer. I feel very satisfied because even though I am a housewife, I give my time and I am happy the day that we have to talk, because I relax. See the faces of my classmates who are all housewives and moms. I am a very old-fashioned mom, I do not know how a phone works, and I said: I have to learn, even if my children do not need me to teach them, but I have to learn by myself, and get ahead so that new doors are opened for me . It is very nice to learn, before I considered myself ignorant, but I am progressing little by little. This has taught me not to feel useless, to feel for myself that I can, and I'm going to progress, that I will not stay where I am, to give my children an example that yes we can achieve everything we want if we strive " Mrs. Isabel
Growing DIJO not only changes the lives of children, but also that of their whole family through an accompaniment to discover their full potential and that they are made to be happy and have a full life even in an adverse context.
