New solar panel system helps children thrive in school

By John Sparks | President, India Partners

Thank you for blessing the children living in the Children's Home in India. Many of the children living in the home are orphans and have no families to take care of them. You are providing them with much needed care and giving these children a great education.

Recently, the Children's Home received a few upgrades and a new solar panel energy system was installed. The boys and girls were so excited when the lights didn't go out during their evening study hour. In India, power outages are very typical and they occur several times a day without any notice.

The power cuts would happen every night, but not anymore! Thanks to the generosity of donors likes you, a new solar panel system is providing them with a reliable source of electricity. The kids no longer have to worry about doing their homework or other activities in the dark.

"Many times in the evenings, there would be power cuts during our study hours. We would lose so much time to do our homework or study. But now I am able to complete all my homework assigned to me in school, and I'm able to study well," says Sai, who is in the 6th grade.

Because of you, the children in the home are able to excel in their studies without struggling in the dark.

The children are also enjoying the new solar water heater that was installed in the home. The kids can now take a warm bath -- something they've never experienced before!

Your gift is not only providing an orphan in India with a great education, but you are also meeting their basic needs to help them succeed in life.

Grateful for your compassion,

John Sparks
