Already helping

Dear donor,
We would like to share with you how our organization tries to give each student the opportunity to apply their knowledge while helping our community.
Prevention is key to promote good habits from a young age so we can lower our risk to get sick. Throughout this year, some of them had participated in activities such as talks in elderly houses, junior high schools and helping administer vaccines at different places in our community.
We encouraged them to be part of the improvement in our health’ system by volunteering in prevention brigades. We also collaborate with local hospitals so they can experience the daily basis of a working day for a health care professional.
Thanks for trusting in the potential and effort of our students. Most families cannot afford a proper education and that is where each scholarship makes a difference in these young adults and contribute to our humanitarian mission.

Dear donor
We feel very lucky because many young students, who are passionate about serving our community, trust our institution to become nurses and paramedics. We would like to share with you some of their thoughts:
I am at the Red Cross’ school because I want to become a nurse. I believe that helping each other is the greatest thing to do. Each semester I try my best so I can get a high score and keep my scholarship, I will look after each patient with the same love, patience and dedication that I would with my family. Once I finish, I would love to be part of the health system, maybe even specialize in pediatrics because I want to take care of children in need. I cannot wait to give back the support of my family and the community!
-Cecilia Gutierrez
As the older sister in my family, since I was little I have always believe that we came to this world to help. That’s why I want an humanitarian profession, as a nurse there’s so much work to do and a lot of people in need.
-Fatima Reyna
When you support this project, remember that you are not only helping each student to achieve their dream, your contribution will also give a better health care to lot of families in the near future.

The Gift of Education

I decided to become a paramedic because I wanted to save lives. The School at the Mexican Red Cross is one of the most renowned academic institutions in the State. Their curriculum is full of prestige, which enables the students to start serving their community at an early stage of their college years. Being able to serve the community and save lives requires constant learning, a sharp mindset and being assertive. Realizing at the end of your shift that, with your help, a life was saved is an amazing feeling. My goal in life is to always learn new things and to constantly serve my community with passion and dedication.
Being a mother is my everyday motivation to continue advancing my career. Knowing that I am going to be able to help someone else’s son or daughter keeps me motivated. Thanks to the scholarship I received I was able to fulfill my dream of becoming a healthcare professional and serve my community.
