EarthShare Oregon invites all GlobalGiving donors like you to join us in meeting us (and many of our charities) at a fun upcoming event -- August 3rd from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., at Pier Park in North Portland, OR.
This celebration of EarthShare Oregon's 25th Anniversary will feature food, activities for the whole family, and a celebration of giving to the environment! It's free -- to RSVP, please visit bit.ly/ESOR25. We hope you'll join us!
Thanks to generous donations from folks like you, EarthShare charities have been accomplishing great things for our environment. Here are some new accomplishments EarthShare (and you) helped make possible:
Friends of the Columbia Gorge land trust purchased three properties in 2013 totaling, nearly 200 acres, protecting scenic landscapes, natural habitat and creating opportunities for future hiking trails.
Growing Gardens’ Home Gardens program helps individuals and families learn to grow their own food in their backyards. In 2013 we enrolled and installed gardens for 54 new home gardener households reaching over 200 people including 61 children while we continued to support 113 second and third-year gardeners.
Thanks for giving, and it's always a good time to renew your commitment to EarthShare and Oregon's natural legacy!
See you in August, I hope!
