Your support is essential to continue helping more young people with cancer.
At the Colombian Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation, we continue working for the well-being of young people with cancer.
Camilo is 14 years old and was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of cancer that affects the bones. He is currently undergoing palliative treatment for metastasis. He is a cheerful, charismatic young man who is much loved by all the medical staff.
Camilo has had to deal with very difficult moments in his health and illness, and this has affected the expression of his emotions. It is not easy for him to talk to his family about what is happening. Faced with the difficulty of expressing in words the love and gratitude he feels for them, he has asked the Foundation for a canvas to capture in a drawing what he cannot say with words.
Although his prognosis is not favorable, Camilo has decided to continue living with joy and gratitude, sharing with his siblings and enjoying quality time with his family.
At the Foundation, we are happy to support initiatives like this that arise from difficult and often unexpected situations, but which make us stronger and more creative.
You too can contribute to initiatives like this. What do you think of our work?
