Thanks to your support we continue to support young people with cancer!
We want to share with you that we have a new leader of the youth group, she is Trinidad, a survivor of acute leukemia diagnosed at age 16, who is now accompanying other young people with her charisma, energy and commitment.
The Foundation's Youth in Contact group has always had a survivor as a leader who can serve as inspiration to other newly diagnosed young people. This young man is responsible for contacting them, listening to them and encouraging them to move forward despite the difficulties that may arise. Likewise, this leader shares her experience as a patient and how she managed to overcome it.
Trinidad not only shares with the young people, she has also had the opportunity to visit the children's chemotherapy room and play with them. She feels that in this way she gives back to life for the great gift of overcoming cancer.
Trinidad has some ideas for activities that she wants to promote with young people to remind them that life is much more than illness and the hospital. This is how there will be workshops, fun activities and walks.
What do you think of the Young People in Contact group? Would you like to support this wonderful initiative?
