Thanks to your support we continue to work for young people with cancer!
Lucy is part of the youth contact group of the Colombian Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation. She is 14 years old and was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a type of cancer that affects the bones.
Lucy says that her treatment process has been difficult, especially because of the physical changes she has had, such as hair loss, but I want to share that to help Lucy we donated a wig that made her very happy.
In addition, she has enjoyed the activities carried out by the Foundation's volunteers outside the hospital. This has helped him focus her attention on things other than the disease and treatment.
The last Friday of inspiration was special because we did a make-up and skin care workshop. Lucy attended with her mom and it was a lot of fun. These activities relax, distract and remind us that life is beautiful despite cancer.
What do you think of these activities? Would you like to contribute to our next Inspiration Friday?
