Our latest 'Claim Your Rights' workshops, equipping young girls with the tools and confidence to protect themselves in real-life situations. The results were powerful and deeply encouraging.
Before the Workshop:
93% had never attended a violence prevention workshop.
78% had experienced or witnessed violence, most often online (56%), at events (45%), in their communities (44%), and even at school (41%).
Many responded to danger by escaping (38%) or telling a parent (85%), but few relied on police or bystanders — highlighting a need for stronger support systems and trust in services.
After the Workshop:
Test scores improved from 54% to 94% — a 40-point jump in understanding.
Nearly 100% of participants felt more prepared to avoid danger, respond to threats, and seek help.
97% said they learned new skills and knowledge not covered in school.
The girls shared that they now feel stronger, safer, and more confident — a clear sign that these workshops are making a lasting difference.
