Help 5,000 Thai Girls Protect Themselves

Dear Supporters, 

As we wrap up another season of training and the school year comes to a close for the summer break, we want to take a moment to reflect on the impact of our recent workshops and share our vision for the future.

Thanks to your support, our ‘Claim Your Rights’ workshops have continued to equip at-risk teenage girls with the tools they need to stay safe and stand up for themselves. Through these sessions, they have learned how to:

• Recognize, avoid, and respond to dangerous situations.

• Understand their rights under Thai law, including the Act on the Prevention and Resolution of Domestic Violence and the Criminal Code Amendment Act.

• Report violent and sexual crimes.

• Use basic self-defense techniques to protect themselves.

We’ve heard incredible feedback from the girls who took part:

“I have gained knowledge and skills for survival/self-defense against dangers, which is very beneficial. The staff was so nice; thank you for the great activities. Please keep it up.”

“I’m very glad to have participated in this activity. It was very useful and can be applied in daily life. Sometimes, when faced with real situations, we don’t know what to do, but participating in this activity provided me with a lot of knowledge.”
