Dear supporters,
We had initially planned to run workshops in early June in UbonRatchathani to train high school girls in protecting themselves against sexual abuse and harassment. But we have to put that on hold for a bit as the Thai Ministry of Education has delayed the start of the new academic year to 14 June from 1 June. The move was precipitated by the coronavirus outbreak. The delay will also give the government time to vaccinate teachers before the term begins. Going by the current state of things, it looks like we are likely to kick off our training in mid-July instead.
To date, we have received $2,287 to run the training in the northeastern province, far from our goal of $26,000 for the year. We will have a greater impact on at-risk high school girls if you can help us reach this target amount by encouraging like-minded individuals such as yourselves to support our cause. Once again, thank you and stay safe!
Best regards,
Pratthanadee Team
