In April to May 2021, Jackline was among five girls who sat for their Secondary School Examinations. Nenkashe management called the girls by phone after they had taken their examinations to find out about their desire for the future. Many were uncertain what they wanted to do so the management arranged a one-day seminar with the girls to help them define a way forward.
Jackline enrolled into Maasai Technical Training Institute in the middle of September 2021 to study for a certificate in Community Development and Social Work.
She comes from a large young family of three boys and four girls under the care of a struggling and loving single father. In 2015, Nenkashe Education Centre started sponsoring Jackline when she was in class 7 and this is the sixth’s year of our journey together.
We journeyed together with Jackline through secondary school and through the pandemic where they were out of school for seven months. Now she is starting a new and challenging life at a tertiary level institution where there are hundreds of young people studying to attain skills in many different technical courses.
Your donations help our students to prepare for this moment because we teach them life skills. Nenkashe mentors youth to develop skills in problem solving, critical thinking, communication skills, creative thinking and interpersonal relationship skills, among others.
We cherish your prayers and continued support so that we can continue helping youth shape their lives.
