We need a new classroom!

By Leonard Lenina | Project Leader

Parents day at Nenkashe ECD
Parents day at Nenkashe ECD

In January 2017 we held an opening ceremony for our Early Childhood Education (ECD) project to share our joy with the community in starting a children’s program.  Early childhood education is beneficial for children ages 3, 4 and 5 years of age.

Our program ensures that young children get a head start toward a bright future through enhancing their language skills, motor skills, learning and cognitive skills, all of which are necessary skills for children to perform well in primary school.

Parents have seen the benefits of our ECD education on their children and have consequently continued to enroll their children into the program.  We now have 40 children enrolled and 3 teachers tutoring them.  Our single building is now too small and we cannot admit more children because of limited space.

We have started a microproject with GlobalGiving to raise $12,000 for a new classroom and we request you to partner with us this worthy cause so that children eligible for ECD education will not have to stay home but to be enrolled in school.

Thank you for your continued support!
