The FACES Foundation is on track with preparations for the 2026 Surgical Cleft Campaign! The dates of the trip to Northern Peru are confirmed for the last week in January.
Over the past several months, the FACES patient coordinator, Ms. Delia Delgado, has been following up with patients who have received surgery and are now in need of speech therapy. Twelve such patients are currently receiving speech therapy virtually, and a report on the FACES Speech Therapy Program can be viewed at this link.
In addition to organizing and prioritizing patient cases, the FACES Medical Director, Dr. Dana Smith, is beginning to recruit for the Surgical Team. This team will be composed of medical volunteers from primarily the United States with specialty in facial plastics, pediatric anesthesiology, and relevant nursing experience. Anyone who is interested in serving with the team in Peru fills out the volunteer application form on the FACES website.
We appreciate the support of so many individuals from around the world who support this great work. We know there are many great causes around the globe, and we thank you for choosing to give to the FACES Foundation.
