Help 2,000 at-risk youth in Colombia build peace

The Foundation´s efforts are routed to create habits for constructive use of time, to keep our beneficiaries active and far away from danger and delinquent behaviors in the streets. These days, our beneficiaries have been surrounded in different protective environments full of knowledge, new ways of thinking and opportunities. Every activity is a chance to learn new things, to get to know different points of view of life, and above all, to weave a thread of understanding and tolerance.

One of the activities carried out outdoors, was a conference about the prevention of violence in teen relationships to teach to the adolescents the relevance of respect and love. Especially in such age, when the conformation of healthy practices of human communication are needed to tackle the latent influence of the local environments in youth´s behaviors.

In addition, in the frame of the Book Festival in the city, the children and adolescents had a close up to fun stories and magical worlds of words. Through the reading promotion, the idea is to teach about books as a means of knowledge, interaction, pleasure, transformation, because we intend to transform the concept and habit to read only done when needed.

In the indoors activities, we had an artistic show, made every year in the facilities, to present to the community the development of self-expression skills and creativity through dance. This activity pursues to get close the community with our practices as a Foundation, and to strengthen in beneficiaries the resilient attitudes.
