During this summer, 45 children and 45 adolescents, lived an unforgettable camping experience in an entire weekend in the countryside with the companion of the program coordinator, the violence Prevention Centers managers, and some teachers.
All beneficiaries are part of “Living my Rights” Project and of different process clubs, which means, they approach different topics according to their age.
The main objectives of this camping were:
- Promoting the integration among children, adolescents and young members of the different clubs and “Living My Rights” Project of the various Violence Prevention Centers.
- Encourage the constant participation of the processes in the Violence Prevention Centers; from a highly attractive activity for all participants, which in turn will help to foster psychosocial life skills, citizenship skills and resilience.
- Strengthen leadership processes and autonomy in the participants.
- Recognize in the colors in the richness of our life: communicating ideas, expressing feelings, showing moods, causing feelings of joy, calm, meditation and wellness.
As part of the enjoyment and learning of the beneficiaries, we decided to came up with recreational activities and dynamics, in order to create awareness over those topics, for example: to encourage the decision-making, critical thinking and stress management, we decided to put puzzles and hieroglyphs. Besides, to enforce empaty and assertive communication, we had grupal games such as a soapy track.
To finish the camping, we had a talent night, where all of our facilities had an space for dancing and music.
That´s it for now, but from the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank to all our donors who have been keeping this initiative alive and have been helping to build a better society where human beings are conscious of themselves and the others.
Until the next time!
