During the first months of this year, we were focusing our efforts in different topics, in order to encourage the Development Goals among the beneficiaries, to provide them with tools for life and to face the issues in a smart way.
In March, one of these activities to strengthen the Development Goals, were specially on Creativity, and was called “Contemos un Cuento” (Let´s Count a Story), at which the children were reading different stories. With this activity, we impacted around 75 beneficiaries of our Youth Centers, and our main outcomes were an active participation and a remarkable increasing of their language skills and vocabulary.
Moreover, another activity made in April, were focused on Self-Steem, Autonomy and Respect for the differences, by molding with plastilina their own body shapes, and afterwards, a sharing spaces were the children showed each other their drawings . As a result, we had 75 attendants and we realized an important encourage of their listening skills and compliance of rules and instructions.
In addition, we developed another activities outdoors for 320 beneficiaries such as “La Pelota” (The Ball) that consisted in playing in ground different sports, and “La Lupa” (The magnifying Glass) that were playing with soap pumps. Those activities aim to progressively develop their autonomy and creativity to resolve conflicts and for their enjoyment.
-Once again, thanks to all our donors and supporters for contributing with their seeds, for the future and hope of our people. We are pretty sure that we are in the right way to keep violence away of our childrens and youth.
Please stay tuned for further information about our project updates!
