Due to violence, more than 2.000.000 people are displaced in Burkina Faso. This means that 800.000 children between 9 and 19 years old have not access to schooling. There are also over 25.000 refugees mainly from Mali.
This is very sad. Education is the basis of development and those children can be easlily endoctrinated.
This school year we have 7 students coming from refugees families. We were unable to organise a test for new refugees students via UNHCR for this school year
In 2 of the villages out of the 12 villages we are supporting, the population has been displaced by the terrorists. The schools in those villages have been closed. It is not clear when the habitants will be able to go back home.
At the Lycée Agricole Privé we have 20 students coming from those 2 villages. Parents of those students have little or no ressources since they were not able to cultivate their fields.
We are looking for ressources to help pay for the school fees for those students.
Can you or your friends help!
Thank you.
